Firm History

On April 1, 1980 the firm of Straka Architects was formed to help clients develop their particular needs
into completed projects, with an emphasis on personal service and quality, yet functional designs.

In 1982 Marty Johnson joined the firm as a project architect/designer.

In 1987 two more full time architects, Ken Johnson and Jean Evangelista, were added to the staff.

In 1988 James Straka and Marty Johnson entered into a buy-sell agreement with the concept that Mr. Straka
would phase into a partial retirement in the future.

After battling cancer for a year, Mr Straka passed away on December 24, 1992. On April 1, 1993,
Marty Johnson purchased the firm and it was renamed Straka Johnson Architects.

In October of 1994 Straka Johnson Architects became a Professional Corporation and is now known as
Straka Johnson Architects, P.C.

Straka Johnson Architects, P.C. now has 3 Registered Architects, 1 Intern, 3 Technicians and 1 Office Manger.
The firm goal has always been "to develop successful projects and satisfied clients by providing quality
buildings that meet each client's specific needs, on time, and within the budget." This commitment has resulted
in work with clients for all sorts of religious, educational, public safety, health care, industrial, recreational,
financial, business, restaurant, and residential projects.
